What a weekend on the Gold Coast! GYG was proud to be the Official Refuel Partner of the 2025 Turf Games Gold Coast Summer Festival, bringing the energy, flavour and GYG vibes to one of Australia’s most exciting fitness events.
Over three epic days, athletes pushed their limits, teams showed what teamwork is all about and fans packed the stands to cheer them on. From Friday’s iconic Engine event to Sunday’s final heats, the atmosphere at the Gold Coast Recreation Centre was next-level!
With support from our local crew and franchisees Tom Graham (GYG Harbour Town & GYG Southport Village), we kept the energy high and the burritos rolling, serving up more than 200 burritos to the incredible volunteers who made the weekend possible. The fun didn’t stop there, our Burpee for Burrito challenge had competitors giving it their all, earning free burrito vouchers one rep at a time. Fans and athletes also scored plenty of GYG goodies across the festival.
In the lead-up to the event, GYG brought the heat with multiple catering drops to local gyms and athletes, including a Caesar Burrito delivery to LSKD influencers and athletes, supported by franchisee Casey Trapnell (GYG Logan Hyperdome). In total, we served up over 330 burritos across the pre-events and festival weekend, keeping everyone fueled with GYG Brekkie, Caesar, and lunchtime favourites.
