The 2026 NSW Junior State Cup delivered three massive weekends of touch football, with perfect conditions setting the stage for unforgettable moments. Players from across New South Wales brought their skill and passion to the touch field, with over 6,000 junior athletes from more than 200 teams competing across Wagga Wagga, Dubbo and the grand final in Tempe. Â
GYG is proud to continue our partnership with New South Wales Touch Football, also extending our support to the NSW Touch Football Junior State Cups and celebrating the communities that make this event so special.  Â
It was fantastic to see Wagga Wagga Franchisee Asif Ahmed come down to show his support during the first weekend of the competition. Asif also organised a food drop for Touch Football staff and spent time over the weekend helping, alongside members of his restaurant team. The tournament once again showcased everything we love about touch footy, teamwork and determination.  Â
The competition featured boys’ and girls’ teams across multiple age groups, from Under 10s through to Under 18s, showcasing the full pathway of junior touch talent. The NSW Junior State Cup remains one of the largest junior touch football events in NSW, uniting regional and metropolitan communities through sport.   Â
One of the highlights of the season was the GYG Try of the Day. This was awarded across all three weekends, celebrating standout plays and moments from junior athletes. The talent emerging from junior touch football is truly impressive, with 10 championship divisions crowned across boys’ and girls’ competitions from Under 10s to Under 18s.   Â
Players also got involved in on-the-ground activation and giveaways across all three weekends. It was awesome to see players winning some GYG merch, including socks, shoelaces, drink bottles and mini burrito gift cards!  Â
A huge congratulations to all the 2026 Junior State Cup Champions! Weâre proud to support the next generation of touch football talent and we can’t wait to do it all again in Wagga Wagga and Dubbo for the 2027 NSW Junior State Cup in February next year.  Â
