Dayton, what an opening! A massive thank you to everyone who showed up and made the opening of our brand-new Guzman y Gomez Dayton restaurant one to remember.
It was amazing to see some familiar faces right from the start. Our very first guests through the doors were loyal GYG regulars who were also first in line at the opening of GYG Ellenbrook. Now that’s dedication!
The community support on the day was something special. Our GYG crew spent the morning doing free coffee drops to staff at Dayton Central, and it was brilliant to see just how excited the local community was to have a GYG right on their doorstep.
We were also thrilled to welcome our largest WA sports sponsor, the Perth Redbacks, who brought their women’s basketball team to enjoy opening day – a true display of fast-food athletes actually say yes to! A shoutout to GYG supplier Morco, who came past for lunch. A great reminder of the close relationships we’ve built with the people behind our fresh produce.
In true GYG spirit, the opening of GYG Dayton has already created over 50 local jobs, helping locals build skills, grow in confidence and develop their careers with the GYG team.
A huge thank you also goes to our GYG franchisees and corporate teams from across Perth who helped on opening day. A true reflection of one of our GYG values – ‘Got Your Back.’
