Burleigh M1, what a day! A massive thank you to everyone who came out to our $5 Burritos and Bowl day with us.
Despite the dreary weather and heavy rain, the Gold Coast still came out in full force! From local school kids, hospital workers and commuters travelling along the highway, all making the pit stop at Exit 87 for a $5 Burrito or Bowl.
A local DJ set the tone for the day, playing modern tunes, mixed with classic GYG-style music from the early morning right through into the late evening. Guests loved the atmosphere, with plenty of dancing and good vibes out the front. GYG merch was handed out throughout the day, with guests walking away with free socks and even a GYG skateboard.
Leading Burleigh M1 is Tom Graham, local Guzman y Gomez franchisee. He has been part of the GYG family for over 15 years and is proud to call the Gold Coast home. He owns and operates 8 GYG restaurants within the Gold Coast.

Our $5 day celebration was assisted by other local Gold Coast franchisees, Tom Graham’s experienced crew from nearby restaurants, Hola Central Staff and Operations coaches. The team were bringing the vibes all day, truly one of the best back-of-house atmospheres at a $5 day.
