The humble fry is a staple of fast food restaurants around the world but what if not all fries are created equal! Now you may take it for granted when dipping GYG’s Skin on Fries into our Chipotle Mayo but we want to share the story on how our fries are nothing more than potato, clean oil and GYG’s seasoning.
The way we like to start our journey is getting down to the crispy goodness that is GYG skin on fries. We leave the skin on, because peeling potatoes for fries is just plain wrong. That added texture and crispiness when we fry up our fries makes them so much more than a fast food side.
But showing some skin doesn’t just give our fries an extra oomph in taste and a spring in its textural step! The skin is also an important part of a potato’s nutritional makeup. A lot of the goodness in a potato sits in or just under the potato skin.
You may be thinking “Hey GYG, how can fries be so tasty and not full of nasty additives?”, well we can happily say our fries are made of 100% fluffy potato, a bit of high quality canola-blend oil, a sprinkle of Chipotle seasoning for taste and that’s it! We haven’t added any chemicals or fillers that will leave you worried! Our potatoes are freshly harvested from Aussie farms, before being cut into fries, snap frozen and delivered to your local GYG, where they’ll be served piping hot with your meal!
