Ever wanted to know what GYG was like in the early days? Sebastian, our amazing Restaurant General Manager at Martin Place is celebrating our 12th year with us!
Starting in our Newtown restaurant in 2010, Sebastian knows all about the early days at GYG and it’s always been about the food! Our Founder and CEO, Steven Marks made sure Sebastian was placing avocados and tomatoes on the top shelf so that guests knew they were getting fresh and delicious ingredients every day.
After becoming an expert in all things GYG food Sebastian moved to GYG Crows Nest where he started as shift leader learning the operational side of the GYG business and trained to be a restaurant manager. Over the years Sebastian was a familiar face in our Crows Nest and Chatswood restaurants and now as Restaurant General Manager at Martin Place the journey is really just getting started.
Throughout his time, Sebastian has managed over 200 people whilst helping them follow their own GYG career paths – now that’s what we call a team leader!
