GYG is the naming rights partner of the GYG 5km at the 2026 Ballarat Marathon!
Ballarat, we’re coming for you. Guzman y Gomez is PUMPED to announce our partnership with the Ballarat Marathon as the naming rights sponsor of the GYG 5km. Taking place on the ANZAC Day weekend Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 April 2026 this is one of Victoria’s biggest and most loved community events, and this year it just got a whole lot tastier.
We’re talking 13,000 runners, 35,000 spectators, a Mariachi band at the 37km mark, a free coffee cart, merch giveaways, and yes a very well-earned post-race burrito.
Whether you’re chasing a PB in the GYG 5km, grinding out the full 42km, or cheering on the sideline – GYG is going to be right there with you. Our Sebastopol and Wendouree restaurants are just 10 minutes from the event hub at Ballarat Town Hall, making them the ultimate pre-run fuel stop and post-race reward destination. Load up on double protein before the start line. Treat yourself to a nacho sundae when you cross that finish line. You’ve earned it.
And if you’re running the marathon and hitting that brutal 36km wall? Look out for the GYG CHEERZONE we’ll be there with coffee, cheers, and enough energy to get you to the finish.
