Dickson, that opening was next level! We’ve been looking forward to joining the neighbourhood, and we couldn’t be happier to finally be here. A massive thank you to everyone who showed up and made the opening of our brand-new Guzman y Gomez Dickson restaurant one to remember!
Opening day was extra special, as this is the first GYG restaurant to open in the ACT in nine years. As the fourth GYG in the territory, the excitement was real with locals coming through from morning to night to welcome another GYG to the state.
The day kicked off steady with brekkie, before building into a huge lunch and dinner rush. With so many young people and uni students in the area, the restaurant was buzzing as guests dropped in throughout the day to fuel up on their favourite burritos and bowls.
The vibes were high from start to finish, with our live mariachi band bringing the energy and kids (and kids at heart) loving the chance to score some free GYG merch. Seeing locals soak up the atmosphere and celebrate the opening with us made the day even more special.
Located on Badham Street, just a short walk from Dickson Pool, GYG Dickson is the perfect spot for a fresh, flavour-packed meal. Whether you’re grabbing brekkie, lunch, dinner or a late-night feed, we’re serving up clean, delicious Mexican-inspired food right in the heart of the neighbourhood.
