Guzman y Gomez supports Misión México Foundation Community Kitchen Program
Misión México Foundation is an incredible organisation that focuses on breaking cycles of poverty, abuse and inequality through education, health, housing, economic empowerment, and community development in Mexico.
Founded by Australian couple Alan and Pam Skuse back in 2000, the organisation has helped build a better future for hundreds of children in Mexico since, providing incredible opportunities for every child and youth under their care.
Recently, Misión México Foundation has launched a community soup kitchen, where twice a month Misión México kids and staff prepare and deliver food parcels to 150 children and adults in surrounding migrant, refugee and displaced people communities. With minimal support from the government and limited access to any type of services, these communities are incredibly vulnerable and in significant need of community support.
Having already completed a trial run in early December last year, Mision Mexico Foundation was the first organisation to do this in the city of Tapachula, Mexico, and has already seen huge success and impact within the communities. The initiative has also proven an amazing learning opportunity for the kids of Misión México, as getting them involved in preparing and delivering the food parcels has allowed them to give back to others.
As long-term supporters of Misión México Foundation, we are beyond excited to be jumping on board to fund this new initiative. We are also reaching out to our awesome guests, to request further donations to support this great cause!
For just $250, Misión México Foundation can make and deliver an incredible 200 meals in a month! Donations of any size are welcomed, with every dollar making a huge difference within these communities.
